We finally did it! Got in front of the lens that is:) Well I have to say I use Chris as my subject all the time, which I think he hates, but I haven’t been in front of the camera in a long time so I thought this was a perfect idea! I didn’t tell Chris what we were doing or where we were going- he was just driving and I had the directions(plus I picked out his clothes which he thought was weird). Usually we get in a fight about how I can’t read the GPS or I tell him to turn when it’s too late, etc. but since there was literally NOTHING near Renault Winery we found it just fine- didn’t even need the GPS.
A little back story for you all. Chris and I got engaged on a trip we took to the Hudson Valley wineries 5 years ago and since then we have gone to the wineries in Long Island , 2 times back to Hudson Valley and last year to Mendoza Argentina. We REALLY (OK I really) want to go to Napa Valley but that will have to wait. Hopefully not too much longer & will we make it there. Anyway the Renault winery was smaller and was a nice spot for photos, plus they have FREE wine tastings. Can’t beat that. We took home 4 bottles and they are not too bad for NJ wine- ha! This session was extra special because we had our 4 year anniversary 2 days earlier. Many thanks to Kevin of KRN Photography for coming out to Renault Winery to photograph us. You can view his blog post on this session here. And my session of him and his wife, Kelly, in Philly and South Jersey here. We had a great time walking, talking, drinking wine, shooting and having dinner.
And to all my clients I now know how it feels to be in front of the camera so I hope I make you as relaxed as possible because that is when we are able capture the best moments, those moments when you let your guard down and don’t even realize the camera is pointed at you. Those are the images I want you to remember.
These are some of my favorites from the day:) I need to get some framed and up on my walls- I put it on my to do list for 2011(yes I have a list already). The grape leaves were this beautiful yellow color- loved it. I think these next 2 are my most favorite!
This is my “serious” face- ha!
Kevin we definitely need to get together and drink more wine soon- we had a great time and thanks again!
