This past Wednesday I had the opportunity to travel to New Haven, CT and take an off camera lighting workshop with wedding photographers Justin and Mary<\/a>.\u00a0 I truly admire their work and I want to learn from other photographers who’s work I like.\u00a0 Not to mention they are 2 of the nicest people I’ve met- so patient with all of us, explaining everything and helping with hands on demos well past the end time of the workshop.<\/p>\n

I’ve been wanting to try off camera for weddings for a while now and this workshop was the perfect start for me(who has never used any off camera lighting.)\u00a0 SO since I left my notebook there(there was so much going on in my brain when I left I just forgot, which isn’t like me- not to worry Mary said she would mail it back:) I can’t review my notes for this blog post BUT we or at least I learned a ton.\u00a0 The way it was explained was very easy for me to understand and comprehend.\u00a0 I would like to start practicing this for next year and set a goal to have an off camera set up at weddings for next summer.\u00a0 This is a big goal for me and one that I hope to accomplish:)<\/p>\n

And since I was there a little early I followed these signs for Lighthouse Point or Park- I can’t remember but it sounded like a place I would like(pretty much anything that equals beach, water, lighthouse is a place I will love).\u00a0 I took this image which to me seems so peaceful.\u00a0 Sometimes I just need to slow down and sit on a bench like this man, relax and take a deep breath because I will get there eventually with my business but what’s the fun of it all if you just keep rushing along trying to get somewhere else?<\/p>\n
