Better late than never- right?\u00a0 Since we are almost half way through September already(where did this month go) I figured I should post my goals for the month.\u00a0 I’m going to be honest, I didn’t get as much done in August as I wanted to, but that’s OK.\u00a0 I spent a lot of time with my family and Chris and trying to take a break from work for a little while since I am working every weekend until November.\u00a0 Here were my August goals:<\/p>\n

  1. order a 7×7 inch sample wedding parent album to show my clients, I wanted to wait until the wedding I had last weekend to do this so hopefully this month\u00a0 *not done, I now want to wait until my wedding on Sept. 24th for this one<\/li>\n
  2. clean all the windows in my house, that I don’t have to climb a 20 foot ladder for, inside and out!\u00a0 *not done- I so didn’t feel like doing this one at any point!\u00a0 I guess it goes back on the list.<\/li>\n
  3. organize the basement shelves<\/del>*done!\u00a0 But we were kinda forced into this one since some of our stuff was getting moldy.\u00a0 Organized and other stuff moved to the attic away from the mold<\/li>\n
  4. remove the old ditsy wallpaper from the downstairs bath and paint the walls.\u00a0 Since I didn’t get to this in May or June or now July it may still be here in September or later:)\u00a0 *update- I actually removed the wallpaper from the kitchen!\u00a0 Not the bathroom, which is a way bigger room.\u00a0 I started this project Labor Day weekend, it’s still in the works.\u00a0 Need sanding, spackle, primer and paint.\u00a0 Can’t wait to finish this project!<\/li>\n
  5. add some music to my website\u00a0 *debating this one<\/li>\n
  6. purchase\/license 2 more songs for slideshow music\u00a0 *still need to do- it’s really HARD to find\/choose music that I like<\/li>\n
  7. go to the beach for fun again- this time we are trying to make it to LBI! <\/del> *LBI was a wash because of Hurricane Irene<\/a> but we did do to the beach twice in August:)<\/li>\n
  8. order an 8×10 sample leather wedding album.\u00a0 *waiting till next weekends wedding to decide which wedding to make into a sample album.<\/li>\n
  9. read 1 book.\u00a0 I used to read so much on the train but not anymore.\u00a0 I need to read again.<\/del> *I read 2 books:\u00a0 The War of Art<\/a> which was a very inspirational book for any creative business person to read.\u00a0 It has great reviews all over the place so I wanted to give it a try.\u00a0 I also read Smoking Seventeen<\/a> by Janet Evanovich.\u00a0 I have to say this series is one of my favorite sit down and read in one sitting, laugh out loud, forget your worries type of book series. \u00a0 I mean who wouldn’t laugh at a NJ bounty hunter with big hair.\u00a0 I have seriously bust out laughing on the train and subway reading her books.\u00a0 Sometimes you just need a book like that.\u00a0 If you want to read them start with One for the Money<\/a>– trust me you will get all the other books in the series after just that 1st one.<\/li>\n
  10. get my itunes set up on my MAC\u00a0 *not done either<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    So for September I’m just going to concentrate on the items I didn’t finish from August.\u00a0 I know I should add new goals but I realize I won’t have the time to finish many of them.\u00a0 Seeing how my calendar looks over the next 3 weeks I will be lucky to finish any new goals along with client orders\/sessions\/weddings!<\/p>\n

    And a little peak at the wallpaper removal project.\u00a0 WARNING:\u00a0 This was NOT fun in any way and took almost 2 full days to remove.\u00a0 Our kitchen isn’t even that big!\u00a0 But I could no longer live with that ditsy floral- it had to go.\u00a0 I’m so glad the wallpaper is off.\u00a0 Chris already spackled once so we are on our way to a newly painted kitchen before you know it.\u00a0 And I also bought a rug from Target that I can’t wait to show you!\u00a0 It’s going to look perfect in there.<\/p>\n
