This past weekend I spent time cleaning out my closet and armoire in the bedroom.\u00a0 Not the most fun ever, but totally needed to be done.\u00a0 Why wait till it’s nice out, when then it won’t get done since I will want to be out side.<\/p>\n

I was wearing the same things over and over because I had no idea what I had or couldn’t find what I wanted or was just lazy to put together new outfits.\u00a0 If you haven’t visited Kendi’s blog<\/a>, please do so you can see my inspiration for this closet makeover.\u00a0 Her’s is my new favorite blog to read and get inspiration from and this closet makeover will hopefully get me out of my jeans rut.\u00a0 It’s nice to be able to wear what ever I want to work, yes I can wear sweatpants into the office if I desire, haven’t done that yet!\u00a0 But I do wear ripped jeans, flip flops, shorts(yes shorts in the summer- long bermuda ones, not those too short ones- ha!), jeans almost<\/em> everyday, uggs all the time(so comfy) and I have worn a sweat-shirt or 2.\u00a0 Not ratty ones but nice trendy<\/em> hoodies or floral printed ones.\u00a0 I mean I work in fashion so anything that’s trendy goes.<\/p>\n

Here is the armoire before the clean out.\u00a0 All messy, everything just stuffed in there:<\/p>\n

And the closet- stuffed with so much stuff!<\/p>\n

I tried on everything in the armoire and closet.<\/p>\n

Things that I found in the mess:<\/p>\n

11 Syracuse sweatshirts and I didn’t throw any out!\u00a0 I actually do wear them all, just not at the same time.\u00a0 I’m wearing my orange one right now:)\u00a0 I’m not allowed to buy anymore.<\/p>\n

2 backless sequins tops, I’m not going clubbing any time soon, nor have I gone in the past 8 years I think.\u00a0 Good bye.<\/p>\n

1 pair of jeans ripped in the crotch- I mean was I really planning to wear these again?\u00a0 Into the trash.<\/p>\n

2 huge bags of stuff to donate to good will:)<\/p>\n

4 really old white tee shirts- gross.<\/p>\n

6 too short tank tops- didn’t even hit the top of my jeans.\u00a0 Really.<\/p>\n

3 pairs of way too low for me Hollister<\/a> jeans that I’m going to try to sell on ebay(see below).<\/p>\n

2 pairs of J Crew cords with tags on!\u00a0 J Crew pants never<\/em> fit me.\u00a0 I’m not allowed to buy them anymore, stop me if I try, OK?\u00a0 Selling these on ebay(see below)<\/p>\n

This large pile below + some purses & shoes to try to sell on Ebay<\/a>, if that doesn’t work then I’m going to donate it.\u00a0 Already listed 3 pairs of shoes on there, wish me luck.<\/p>\n

Armoire after the clean out- hopefully those piles stay neat!\u00a0 Hear that Chris:)<\/p>\n

Closet after clean out- I can see what I have, it’s so nice.\u00a0 I would like to add a shelf in the top right area for out of season shoes.\u00a0 Chris said he would do it for me- yay.<\/p>\n

Color order by garment- perfection!\u00a0 I really can’t wait to wear all my sun dresses, I have the most of those.\u00a0 Very comfortable and easy summer outfit, trust me.<\/p>\n

Things I realized I need to buy:<\/p>\n

Skirts- only have 3 left in there.\u00a0 Especially in need of a straight black one.<\/p>\n

Skinny dark jeans, my gap ones are soooo stretched out.\u00a0 Probably because I wear them every day.\u00a0 Not kidding.<\/p>\n

White tee shirts and tank tops for layering.<\/p>\n

New black ballet shoes- my Jessica Simpson ones are a bit worn out.\u00a0 Any recommendations for comfortable, no bow, no ruffle ones?\u00a0 I have really high arches and need support!\u00a0 Leave me a comment if you do.\u00a0 I need to have these before shooting season!\u00a0 Also looking for an orange pair but I don’t need<\/em> those, just want<\/em> them:)<\/p>\n
