It’s fun to be on instagram, I feel like it’s real life and not sugar coated.  It’s encouraged me to take more photos of thing and people around me.  Follow me @meridithdesmond  Leave your handle in the comments and I will follow you as well.  🙂

Over the past week I:

• Planted the hanging baskets on my front porch with Impatients.  I’ve learned to only do shade flowers since all the other ones I’ve tried over the past 2 years die or do not get flowers from lack of sun.
• Had lunch with Jen of Sweet Element in Montclair, NJ at Red Eye Cafe– the food was really delish!  I highly recommend this place.
• Had a dinner reunion with 3 girls I went to grammar school with- it was so fun to hang out and to talk with them in person!  I do love how facebook brings people back together.  We are planning to do it again this year.  Yay for St. Leo’s – it wasn’t as bad as we thought – ha!
• Invited some photographers over for a mid-week BBQ.  We talk online all the time via FB groups but it’s still better to talk in person over yummy food.
• Flew to Cancun, Mexico to photograph Christy and Rob’s Destination wedding!!  Whoohoo!!  I cannot wait to look through the images and post them on the blog.  I just got back last night and it was a great trip!  Look for a sneak peak this Wednesday.  It’s fun to travel for weddings and sneak in some tanning by the pool time too.  😉
• Got the sweetest email from Suzanne thanking me for her baby shower images.  I love to get emails from clients like that!  It makes me love what I do even more than I already do.
