Meridith Monday’s Vol. 33

I’m back after a long, hard and emotional 3 weeks.  We had to say goodbye to my father-in-law who passed away on Jan. 12th.  He is one of the kindest and most thoughtful person you could ever meet and I’m so glad he was my 2nd dad!  He will live on in our memories and hearts.  I didn’t do much instagramming but I do like these 2 landscape images below, they are so peaceful and tranquil and just what I needed to photograph at this time.

I have started a few projects over the past few days since we’ve been home, they have been keeping me busy and some have been keeping me moving to stay warm too!  I am now ready to have 50 degree weather.  Spring where are you? Seriously it’s snowing out right now.

Over the past week I:

  • Started to work on my new website, I am switching website platforms to save some money and change things up to reflect more of my personality.  Not to mention who doesn’t like to save $500 a year?
  • Changed my blog a bit to match my new website.  What do you think?  DO you like it?  Any comments or ideas, please leave them in the comment section below.
  • Had Courtney + Paul’s wedding featured on Merci NY Wedding Blog!  I am so, so, so excited for this one!  Click on the Merci logo to the right and leave a comment or check out their wonderful ideas for all things wedding fashion.  Shoes anyone?  Haha.
  • Designed a logo for a photography friend of mine.  She is starting a new Glamour and Boudoir line so I can’t wait to share her site with you ladies out there!!!
  • Finally started to paint our bedroom.  Ceiling is done and that’s the hardest part, right?  I also primed all the wood trim, it was the ugly country honey wood that I didn’t like.  It looks 100% better with just the primer over the wood.  I still can’t decide on a grey paint color, grey is tough.
  • Made a meatloaf.  In Chris’ words, “The worst thing about meatloaf is when there is none left on your plate.”  Haha, that is true!
  • Watched 3 movies:  Ted, Fargo and The Proposal.  Ted was OK but I’m not into those stupid funny movies, Chris loved it.  Fargo was interesting, wouldn’t watch it again.  The Proposal was funny and cute- Chris laughed too!  I have to rent another one for this week, any ideas?
