Meridith Monday’s Vol. 10

Over the past week I:

  • Had a small BBQ in the yard with Chris’ dad, Kathy and Madison.  Played a little Blongo Ball and had fun!
  • Walked around the Celery Farm in town and saw lots of snapping turtles and poison ivy.  Managed(knock on wood) to NOT get poison ivy.  Poison ivy + Chris + me doesn’t always end on a happy note- ha!
  • Made Smores over the fire pit!  I only eat the marshmallows and chocolate;)
  • Came home to our bird feeders hung on a metal hook that Chris made for us!
  • Photographed a teenager who is going to try out for American Idol- cool!  I can’t sing to save my life:)
  • Photographed a wedding on one of the hottest days of the year yet.
  • Accidentally left my car window open(because my car AC is broken) at said wedding and came out after the downpour to a 2 inch puddle in the passenger side floor.  Good thing I have a towel in the car at all times!  The floor mat is still drying out.
  • Went to a pool party/BBQ with a bunch of Chris’ friends in which someone dressed up in a full furry Elmo suit and danced around the party all night while other guest had one various wigs.  Too bad I was the DD for the evening!
  • Finally finished reading Entre Leadership by Dave Ramsey.  Lots of great nuggets of info that I would like to apply to my business in this book.  I would recommend this to anyone who owns their own business.  I also really recommend Dave Ramsey’s book Total Money Makeover, which has really helped Chris and I have a plan to pay off debt and get serious about our financials.
  • Went to the lake by myself.  I relaxed, finished the above book and also started reading Janet Evanovich’s new novel Wicked Business– so far so good!
